HUNCHBACK WHALE is a pop rock band from Louisville, KY.

We started in a basement, of course. Then we practiced on the second floor at church. At one point, the neighbors called and said we were playing too loud too late into the evening, a solid first review of the band.
Ted’s like, “Do you guys want to do this for real, like for fun and profit?”
“Definitely.”
“Yeah.”
“Let’s do it.”
So a friend introduced us to Phil Bright at the Louisville Recording Studio. We spent over a year painstakingly working through the details of each song, line by line, getting everything right.
Then Adam Watts just happens to post on Facebook that he’s looking to coach some up-in-coming artists. Mind you, this is the guy we’ve followed since he produced Jeremy Camp’s first album, a guy who’s worked with everyone from Miley Cyrus and Joe Jonas with Disney to Kelly Clarkson, Switchfoot, Plain White T’s, and so on. All told, pretty sure his stuff’s sold over 50 million copies worldwide. We clicked “like.”
Fast forward to today, we’re leading up to our debut album, Wish You Well, by releasing our first single, “Haunted By A Memory.” It’s a song about deciding to say what’s difficult when it’s critically important. That’s the beginning of the story.
